The Cultural Village in Honiara, Solomon Islands

Posted 1 year ago by avatar highlander in response to avatar dumo's question: What could a tourist find as traditional sight in the Solomon islands? (give a different answer) .

Apart from the cultural centres, the National Museum in Honiara used to offer an introspection into the way in which people used to live decades ago in the Solomon islands. Despite the fact that the museum isn't open anymore, some nice handicrafts can still be purchased from a store nearby. The Cultural Village is however a good choice, as there are some buildings that are constructed in the traditional way for the Solomon islands.
